Happy Kidney Plushie

Meet the Happy Kidney. This little guy made my bad day brighter. He's just so darn happy!

I created him for the #PremiumMembers Random Phrase contest, in which my phrase was "Talking Kidney". I originally thought about drawing him, but then said "the heck with drawing, I want to make a plushie!", so I did.

He is made from Eco-fi felt and stuffed with polyfill. The facial details are glued on with fabric glue and then hand stitched for strength. The pupils (errr.... the ^'s) are hand embroidered with embroidery thread and he has a heart & "Julia Grace Arts" hand embroidered on his bum (if you can call the backside of a kidney a bum).

The critique is requested for the plushie, but you can talk about the photograph itself if you'd like.

Oh my gosh!! Happy Kidney won the contest! I can't believe it. I'm one of three winners. Hurray! Check out the other two winning pieces as well. They're great!
